Bad for Good

Bad for Good is the debut album and so far only album by the composer and singer Jim Steinman. It was published in 1981. Completely composed by Jim Steinman album was mostly sung by him. Some titles were interpreted by Rory Dodd. The album was the follow-up album to the successful Steinman-/Meat-Loaf-Zusammenarbeit Bat out of Hell, but Meat Loaf voice problems due to a strenuous tour prompted Steinman to release the album as a solo project.

On the original vinyl release was The Storm and Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through the first and second side of the album. These songs are by Steinman's concept of the intro and the outro of the album. On the CD release are The Storm and Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through the final two songs, which Steinman's intended order contradicts.
