Ballasalla

Ballasalla ( Manx Balley Sallagh, literally the place of willow trees ) is a village in the south of the Isle of Man near the former capital of the island Castletown.

History

Between the 12th and the 16th century, it was a Cistercian abbey and Rushen Abbey, whose ruins are still visible today.

Traffic

Just south of the village, the Ronaldsway Airport Isle of Man is the seat of the airline CityWing.
