The Balmoral (formerly "Norwegian Crown ", " Crown Odyssey ") is a Panamax cruise ship. By the shipping company Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is used for cruises.

History

The ship was in 1988 as Crown Odyssey at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg for the shipping company Royal Cruise Line ( not to be confused with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line ) built. The design of the ship comes from the Danish naval architects Knud E. Hansen. After the commissioning of the Crown Odyssey was first in the Caribbean go. In 1992, the ship monastery Cruise ( Nassau, Bahamas) was sold. In 1996, Norwegian Cruise Line ( NCL) purchased the financially troubled shipping company, and built the ships in your fleet, while the Crown Odyssey was renamed Norwegian Crown. 2000, she went again under the name Crown Odyssey for Orient Lines.

In 2008 the ship was put into service as Balmoral.
