Balthasar Augustin Albrecht

Balthasar August Albrecht ( * January 6, 1687 in Berg am Starnberger See, † August 15, 1765 in Munich) was a Munich court painter.

Life

He was the creator of the altarpiece in the church of Wies 1753/54 and fresco painter of the Munich Residenz. He has also produced altarpieces for Unterdießen, Polling, Schaeftlarn and the Holy Spirit Church in Munich and St. Michael in Niederau village. Another, originally custom built for the private chapel of a Munich businessman marriage pair altarpiece is now in the old Sollner church.
