Balthild

Bathilde, also Balthild Soon Hilda Bathildis, (c. 630 in England; † January 30 probably 680 at the Abbey of Chelles ) was the wife of the Frankish Merovingian King Clovis II of Neustria.

Life

649 married King Clovis II Balthilde. Her rise did not make her proud, she was devoted to caring arms. She turned against slavery among Christians.
