Banana Joe (film)

Banana Joe is an Italian- German film with Bud Spencer in the year 1981. The film opened on 25 March 1982 in the German cinemas nationwide.

Action

Banana Joe is a peaceful banana farmer and lives with his numerous wives and children in the small South American jungle village Amantido. His most important possession is a steam-powered transport boat, with which he brings the bananas regularly in the closest town and exchanged for all kinds of daily necessities.

The crime boss Torcillo plans to open a banana plantation in Amantido. Since his engineering Moreno, who is planning the project, understandably met with resistance on the part of Joe, Torcillo take other means to oust him from the banana business. He has the local police chief out that Joe does not have valid documentation even has a banana - trading license, whereupon this must make their way to the provincial capital Puerto Grande to get this.

But that is easier said than done: First, he meets the young crooks Manuel, some abknöpft him through various tricks of his money. Then Joe falls in love even in the pretty singer Dorianne.
