Bao Yingying

Bao Yingying (Chinese包 盈盈, Pinyin Bao Yingying; born November 6, 1983 in Qidong, Jiangsu) is a Chinese saber fencer.

She began her career as a competitive athlete 1997 in Nantong Sports School. In 1999 she moved to the sports Nanjing University and joined the fencing team of Jiangsu Province. Since 2001 she is a member of the Chinese fencing team.

In the first year she succeeded to the third place in the individual at the Universiade in Beijing 's first international success. The following year, she won the singles and the team title at the Junior World Championships in Antalya and in the Asian Games as a member of the Chinese saber team gold medal.

In 2003, she won at the World Championships in Havana with the Chinese team the silver medal. Also the second place they reached at the 2007 Asian Championships in Nantong in singles.

In August 2008 she took in Beijing for the first time in the Olympic Games and part occupied by a quarter-final defeat against the Olympic champion Mariel Zagunis later sixth place, with the team received bronze.

At the 2009 World Fencing Championships in Antalya she erfocht with the Chinese team the bronze medal. Since the 2009/2010 season, she has not participated in any international competition.
