Barbara Marianowska

Barbara Marianowska (* May 29, 1947 in Diddington in Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, † February 9, 2012 in Tarnów ) was a Polish politician and from 2001 to 2011 Member of the Sejm in the IV, V and VI. Election period.

Life

In 1976 she finished studying at the Faculty of Industrial Economy of the Cracow University of Economics.

In the years 1966 to 1983 she worked as an accountant and economist, among others, in a Krakow's architectural office and the Mining and Metallurgy Academy Krakow. From 1983 to 1992 she was Hauptinspektorin the tax office Krakow. From 1992 to 1994 she worked as Finanzkomissarin in Control Office in Kraków. From 1994 to 2001 she was in the Najwyższa Izba Kontroli (Supreme Court - NIK ) as auditor and specialist for state control in the branch of NIK in Krakow.

Since 2002 she was a member of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość ( Law and Justice - PiS) and sat in the Bureau of the PiS Regional Board of Malopolska ( Lesser Poland ). Since 1980 it belonged to the trade union Solidarity on, in the years 1989 to 1991 she was a member of the operating committee of the trade union in the tax office of Kraków from 1992 to 1994 she headed the union in the Audit Office of Krakow. Since 1998 she was a member of the Association of Accountants in Poland, since 2000, she was a member of the National Chamber of Auditors.

In the parliamentary elections of 2001 and 2005, she was elected on the list of PiS for the electoral district of Tarnow in the Sejm. The Sejmwahlen 2007 she was elected with 21 654 votes for the third time as an MEP. She was then a member of the Sejm Commission for Internal Affairs. In the 2011 elections her candidacy was unsuccessful.
