Baring family
The Baring are originally from a Lower Saxony native, now living both in Germany and in the UK family.
The oldest known ancestor is Peter Baring, in 1500 the citizens of the city of Groningen in Friesland. His youngest son, Francis Baring was 1565-1582 First Lutheran Superintendent to Lauenburg / Elbe in Saxony -Lauenburg; He is the founder of Lauenburg main stem. Of his sons come of Gülzower tribe in Hannover and the water Horster tribe, later to Bremen and England. All known bearers of the name Baring descended from this origin, and the German political scientist and historian Arnulf Baring.
In the electorate of Hanover Barings belonged to the so-called " Pretty families " from which apart from clergymen, farmers, Domain and Klostergutspächtern the higher officials and officers were wont to emerge.
