Bartosz Bosacki

Bartosz Bosacki [ bartɔʃ bɔsatsci ] ( born December 20, 1975 in Poznan, Poland ) is a former Polish football player.

Club career

Bosacki began his career as a footballer at the Polish Club SKS 13 Poznan, where he played until his twentieth year. From there, he joined the biggest club of his hometown, Lech Poznan, where he made his debut in the top Polish league celebrated in April 1995 compared Zagłębie Lubin.

He played until 1998 when Lech, before joining Amica Wronki. There he won the 1999 and 2000 the Polish Cup in 2002, he returned to his first professional club, where he played until 2004.

For the season 2004 /05 the central defender joined the 1st FC Nuremberg. Here he celebrated against 1 FC Kaiserslautern his Bundesliga debut, but came into this season due to a serious hip injury on only thirteen league games. In 2005 /06 he was part of the Bundesliga squad of the 1st FC Nuremberg, but was rarely used.

In January 2006, the contract with 1.FC Nuremberg was dissolved by mutual agreement. Bosacki rejoined the Polish first division club Lech Poznań. For Lech he played another 5.5 years before he ended his career after the season 2010/2011.

National

Also for the Polish national team Bosacki was in use after his debut against the Faroe Islands on 10 February 2002, he played a total of 19 other internationals.

In 2006 he was re-nominated for the World Cup after Damian Gorawski because of heart problems for health reasons could not attend. There he moved in the last group match against Costa Rica due to the violation of Mariusz Jop in the starting lineup and decided the match with his two goals (and thus the only two goals of Poland in the World Cup ) in favor of Poland. Subsequently, he was elected "Man of the Match".
