Bartosz Soćko

Bartosz Socko ( born November 10, 1978 in Piaseczno ) is a Polish chess master.

As a teenager, won Socko 1994, the Polish Under-16 Championship and the 1995 Under-18 Championship. He takes since 1995 regularly participate in the Championships of Poland. 2003 and 2005 he was vice-champion, in 2008 he won the Polish Individual Championship for the first time. Socko regularly plays for the Polish national team at Chess Olympiads and European team championships. On the Chess Olympiad 2000 in Istanbul, he won the bronze medal for his individual result on the fourth board. Since 1999, it bears the grandmaster title. 2006 won Socko with Robert Kempiński the Rubinstein Memorial in Polanica -Zdrój.

Socko plays for the SC Kreuzberg in the German Chess Bundesliga and in Poland for SzK Polonia Warsaw. in the Austrian Bundesliga first it was 2007/ 08 and 2011/ 12 with the SK Advisory Invest Baden team champion. He is married to the Polish Grandmaster Monika Socko, born Bobrowska. The couple has three children. He had his best ever Elo rating of 2660 in July 2007. He was thus at number 49 in the world rankings.
