Bashir Baghlani

Bashir Baghlani (* 1931 † 28 April 2007 and civil Mohammed Yousuf ) was an Afghan general whose political activity spanned from 1983 to 2003.

Life

The son of a Tajik Einwanderes he was born in 1931. His father was chairman of a collective farm in Tajikistan.

His political career began in 1983, when he left the militant group Setami Milli joined. He also served as governor of Baghlan and joined the Hizb -i Islami Gulbuddin. After the fall of the Taliban Baghlani was used as the governor of Farah. On the night of April 28, 2007, he suffered a heart attack and died from its effects.

Name

Mohammad Yousuf took over the name of the former Afghan Justice Minister Mohammed Bashir Baghlani for his political work to enlarge. He also gave many acts from the Minister of Justice as its own to be located sympathizers of its namesake safely.
