Basil Ruysdael

Basil Ruysdael ( born July 24, 1888 in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA, † October 10, 1960 in Hollywood, California ) was an American actor.

Life

Ruysdael began as a bass-baritone at the Metropolitan Opera in the years 1910-1918. A time of the First World War, he has performed with greats such as Enrico Caruso and Geraldine Farrar. It was only in 1918 Ruysdael began his career as an actor on the New York stage. In 1923 he moved to California.

Ruysdael died at the age of 72 after complications from surgery in a hospital in Hollywood. He was buried in Lawn Memorial Park in Omaha.
