Bastiaan Ragas

Bastiaan Ragas (* June 30, 1971 in Lisse, Netherlands) is a Dutch singer, actor, musical performer and presenter.

Life

At age 17, just graduated from school, ragas moved with a mainly Christian, multicultural singer group called Up with People Europe, America and Mexico. In 1990, he found himself back in the Netherlands, where he took acting lessons and the musical group joins jeans.

He became a member of the boy band Caught in the Act, together with Eloy de Jong, Benjamin Boyce and Lee Baxter 1992. Ragas was the lead singer of the group. It is presented a few minor successes in their home, but after a stint in 1994 in the German television series Good Times - Bad Times they stormed across Europe and eventually in Asia the charts. They had hits like Love is everywhere, Do not walk away and come back baby. In August 1998 came the sudden and unexpected from the successful group.

In 2000 Bastiaan Ragas released his first solo album, Tomorrow is looking good. It was a moderate success. 2001 he sang and played the lead role in the musical Aida, Radames. He was awarded the Johnny Kraaikamp Musical Award. The following year he played in the Dutch hospital trauma series with 24/7 and had some TV appearances and presenters jobs. In 2003 he took on the role of D' Artagnan in the musical The Three Musketeers and convinced the critics of his skill. There he also met his future wife, Antonia Grietje Breugem, also known as " Tooske Ragas " know. Ragas and Breugem married in June 2005 and are parents of three daughters (* 2007, * 2008, * 2010). Ragas was a jury member of the first pop stars - season in 2004 in the Netherlands.

His second album was released in 2005 Outragas only in the Netherlands. In March 2007, the album was released ZIN.

Ragas ' older brother was the late actor in 2007 Roef ragas.
