Battered (band)

Battered is a Norwegian thrash metal band that emerged from the band Einherjer 2004.

Band History

After the dissolution Einherjers 2004, the ex- members founded Gerhard Storesund (drums), Frode Glesnes (guitar) and Aksel Herløe (guitar), the band Battered. The cast was completed by the Head Block musician Ole Moldesæther (bass) and Siggy Olaisen (vocals ). After the demo ... Beyond Recognition, the band signed a record deal with Candlelight Records. There, so far the only, self-titled album was published in 2006. Subsequently, the band signed to Tabu Recordings, but the work on the successor went so far in the sand. Furthermore, since 2009 Einherjer exist again.

Music style

In contrast to Einherjer is at Battered no longer Norse mythology in the foreground. Rather, as for example the volume deals with modern issues, the question of the meaning of life and the daily struggle for survival. Musically, the band distances itself from the Viking Metal respectively hardcore punk / grindcore earlier days and plays with Battered simple but modern thrash metal.
