The Battle of Grumentum was a battle between the Romans and Carthaginians in 207 BC

Prehistory

The Roman consul Gaius Claudius Nero was with his army to fight Hannibal in southern Italy had fallen, while his colleague Marcus Livius Salinator should repel the invasion of Hannibal's brother Hasdrubal in the north. 207 BC it came to the battle of the river Grumentum Agri.
