The Batumi International Airport (Georgian ბათუმის საერთაშორისო აეროპორტი, Batumi saertaschoriso Aeroporti, English Batumi International Airport ) is the second largest commercial airport in Georgia. It is located about four kilometers southwest of downtown Batumi. The Batumi airport is one of three international airports in Georgia. The airport was opened on 26 May 2007. With a total area of 3,915 square meters ( 42,140 m²) is possible the handling of over 600,000 passengers per year.
