Bavaria Brewery (Netherlands)

Bavaria is a Dutch brewery headquartered in Lieshout (municipality Laarbeek ). With a total annual output of approximately 6 million hectoliters per year, the company is the second largest brewery in the country behind Heineken. A large part of the products are exported. Bavaria is known mainly in Australia, South Africa and various countries of Eastern Europe.

History

1764 Ambrose Swinkels began in Lieshout with the brewing of beer. 1924 built his descendant John Swinkels a large brewery and began a Pilsner beer brauen.1937 there the company builds its own maltings. In the 1970s, Bavaria began with the export of beer, which is now exported to 120 countries. 1978 was brewing, the company one of the first non-alcoholic beers in the world. To date, the company is family- owned by the Swinkels.

On November 18, 2013, the Federal Court ruled that the brewery Bavaria brand no longer allowed to use in Germany.

Products

The brewery produced in the Netherlands, Russia and South Africa, beer, non-alcoholic beer and mixed beer drinks, both under his own name as well as discounters. Its best known brands include not only the brewery Bavaria and Hollandia and Pilsner Albert Heijn. Moreover, Bavaria also produces soft drinks.
