Beach to Beacon 10K

Beach to Beacon 10K is a road race over 10 km, which takes place since 1998 in Cape Elizabeth (Maine).

Launched by Joan Benoit Samuelson race leads from Crescent Beach State Park ( the beach - "beach" ) to the Portland Head Light ( the lighthouse - " beacon " ) and is one of the fastest and most popular over this distance in the United States. The 6000 available starting places were awarded within two hours of 2009.
