Bébinn

Find Bé [ B'e ː v ʴ ind ], also Bébinn, Béfionn, is in Celtic mythology of Ireland, a member of the Tuatha Dé Danann. This name refers to a goddess who is associated with the birth. Other mythological figures are also mentioned with the same name - whether it is always about the same goddess, is uncertain. Even with the Celtic Otherworld she is associated with both the Irish Mag Mell, as well as the Welsh Annwn.

Bébinn is a combination of Irish words bean ( [ path ] "woman" ) and Binn ( " sonorous, melodic " ), eg " melodic wife ", " woman ( with ) melodious ( voice ) ". In Béfionn, the second syllable of fair, fairy ( " fairytale, elfin " ) are derived. The variants Bé Bind, Bé Binn, Bebhinn, Bébhionn, bebind and Béfind can be found.

In the story Táin Bó Froích, in the remscéla ( " advance narratives " ) contain the Ulster Cycle, is Bé Find the hero's mother Fröch of Connacht and the sister of Boand.
