Będargowo, Police County

Będargowo ( Mandelkow German ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the Gmina Kołbaskowo (Town Kolbitzow ) in Policki powiat ( county Pölitz ).

Geographical location

Będargowo located in the eastern Pomerania, about eight kilometers southwest of Szczecin and eleven kilometers west of Gartz (Oder).

History

The village was first mentioned in documents from the 13th century. In a document of 1220 mentioned the Pomeranian Duchess Anastasia that they had given the village, called here Brandargowe, Szczecin Jakobikirche. In a document of 1233, Pope Gregory IX. the " monastery" St. Jakobi in Szczecin his property, especially the here Bandergowe called village. In a document of 1237 confirmed Duke Barnim the Jakobikirche I. possession of the village, which first appeared here with the place name Mandelkow.

At the beginning of the 1930s the boundaries of the village community Mandelkow had a surface area of 9 km ², and on it there were 44 houses in four residential sites:

After the Second World War, the town 1945 together with the so-called Szczecin corner part of Poland. Mandelkow was renamed Będargowo.

Traffic

Mandelkow was a stop on the narrow-gauge railway Casekow - Penkun - Or, led by Casekow after Pommerensdorf.
