Begna River

The Begna is a river in Norway. It flows from Filefjell in southern Jotunheimen through Valdres and flows into the lake Nes Sperillen. This leaves them as Ådalselva that flows together with the Randselva in Hønefoss to form the Storelva. After Hønefoss this opens into the Tyrifjord. The Begna is 213 km long and has a difference in altitude of about 1,850 m. It is the eighth longest river in Norway. In the upper reaches it is also called Storåne. In Valdres it flows through several lakes, including Otrøvatnet, Vangsmjøse, Slidrefjord, Strondafjorden and Aurdalsfjorden.
