Bejucal is a city and a municipality in the Cuban province of Mayabeque. By 2010, the municipality belonged to the defunct province of La Habana.

It has about 20,500 inhabitants in a municipality of 75 km ² and is located south of the Cuban capital of Havana. To the north it borders on Santiago de las Vegas, to the east of San Antonio de las Vegas and Batabanó the south by La Salud and to the west by San Antonio de los Baños.

In the 1990s, a satellite communications system was built with the help of Russia. It provides, inter alia, the connection of Cuba ago to the Internet. Since an agreement between Cuba and China in 1999 and Chinese communication satellites are used. There are reports according to which the station is used in Bejucal for electronic reconnaissance against the United States.

Bejucal was the end point of the first railway line of Cuba from Havana to Bejucal. When the line was opened on 19 November 1837 she was the first steam railway line in Latin America.
