Madruga

Madruga is a municipality and a city in the Cuban province of Mayabeque. By 2010, the municipality belonged to the defunct province of La Habana.

The city is located north of Nueva Paz and east of San José de las Lajas. The settlement was officially founded in 1803.

The municipality counts 30.640 inhabitants in an area of 464 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 66 inhabitants per square kilometer.

The municipality is divided into seven neighborhoods ( Barrio ): Concordia y Cayajabos, Este Itabo Majagua, Oeste, Sabana de Robles and San Blas.
