Belaya Kholunitsa River

The Belaya Kholunitsa (Russian Белая Холуница ) is a 160 km, according to other sources 168 km long left tributary of Vyatka in the European part of Russia.
Course
The Belaya Kholunitsa rises in the east near the village of Kirov Oblast Makarowschtschina in the Kamahöhen, near the border with the Republic of Udmurtia. It flows through the densely forested, hilly region initially in a north westerly and northerly direction.
20 km east of Belaya Kholunitsa it swings to the west. On the eastern edge of the city the Belaya Kholunitsa is dammed to the reservoir Belocholunizki Prud ( Белохолуницкий пруд ). After the confluence of the Soma few kilometers down from Belaya Kholunitsa the river bends again in predominantly north-western directions. In the urban-type settlement Oktyabrsky she turns to the southwest and finally reaches a few kilometers south of Slobodskoi the Vyatka.
Use
The mainly fed by meltwater Belaya Kholunitsa is on average from November to April, frozen. It is used by tourist boat hikers.
