Belodontichthys dinema

Belodontichthys is a genus of fish belonging to the family of the Real catfish ( Siluridae ), which includes two types occurring in Southeast Asia.

Features

The fish are 60 cm to one meter long and have an elongated body with small back and elongated anal fin. The head is oriented at an angle of approximately 60 ° to the top, wherein the tapered nose projecting over the height of the back. The upper jaw has a long, lower jaw a short couple of barbels. The abdomen is flat and the back narrow, so that the body at the level of the pectoral fins has a triangular cross-section. The pectoral fins are long and have a long basis.
