Belus (Egyptian)

Belus (Latin Belus, Greek Βῆλος ) - the Hellenized name of Baal - In Greek mythology, king of Egypt, the son of Poseidon and Libya. This was in turn the daughter of Epaphos and thus granddaughter of Io and thus Belus brother of the Phoenician Agenor.

With Anchinoë, the daughter of the river god Nilus, begat Belus, according to legend, the twins Aegyptus and Danaus, from which is derived a whole Hero narrowness bad. Also Cepheus and Phineus, and a daughter, Thronia be specified as the descendants of this couple.
