Nilus (mythology)

Neilos ( Latinized Greek Νεῖλος, Nilus ) In Greek mythology, the god of the Nile River, son of Oceanus and Tethys. According to legend, married his daughter Memphis, after he named a city, the Egyptian king and bore him Epaphos Libya, which was in turn the mother of Belus and Agenor.
