Bence Svasznek

Bence Svasznek (Hungarian Svasznek Bence, born July 25, 1975 in Budapest) is a Hungarian ice hockey player who is since January 2012 the Miskolci Jegesmedvék JSE in the MOL League under contract.

Career

Bence Svasznek began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of the Újpesti TE, for the first team, he was active in the Hungarian Hockey League from 1994 to 1996. Then the defender played for four years for his league rivals Ferencvárosi TC. Then it took Alba Volán Székesfehérvár under contract. With the team he was seven -time champion in the next eight years. Only in the 2001/ 02 season he missed this success with Alba Volánbusz. Parallel took the national team with some of his team each in the multinational Inter league. This was won in 2003 and 2007.

In the 2007 /08 season Svasznek played almost exclusively in the Austrian Hockey League, had been included in the Alba Volánbusz this season. Only for the playoffs, he was brought into the squad the team Alba Volans from the Hungarian Hockey League and scored in 13 games once and gave three assists. From 2008 to 2011, the Hungarian for Budapest Stars played in parallel in the MOL League and the newly founded Hungarian Hockey League. For the 2011/12 season he returned to his hometown club Újpesti TE. In January 2012, he joined the Miskolci Jegesmedvék JSE.

Internationally

Svasznek represented his native Hungary for the first time at the Junior C World Cup 1994, when the team finished fifth. In the senior defender was first used in the World Championship Division I 2001 used. Until the World Championship Division I 2010 he was a member of the squad, including Hungary. The greatest successes in this period were the promotion to the top division at the World Championship Division I in 2008 and participation in the 2009 World Cup in Switzerland related.

The defender has played more 145 caps for the Hungarian national team.
