Benjamin Schüßler

Benjamin Schuessler (born 4 May 1981 in Magdeburg ) is a German footballer who plays for SV Hönnepel - Niedermörmter plays in the Oberliga Niederrhein since July 2013.

Career

Schuessler's career began in the youth of the 1st FC Magdeburg. Here he went through all the junior teams. His achievements during this time were the semi-finals at the German Youth B Championships 1998 and winning the DFB Junior Club Awards 1998 /99. In a 6-1 final win over the Magdeburg 1.FC Saarbrücken Schuessler scored three goals. Although still eligible to play for the A- youth, he came in the second round of the Regional 1999/2000 to its first use in the first men's team of the FCM and became an instant regulars. He was soon discovered by the DFB for the German U21 national team. After the failure of Magdeburg in qualifying for the new two-tier Regionalliga young talent, was purchased in 2000 for a transfer fee of the equivalent of € 100,000 from Borussia Moenchengladbach. However, the hopes of the club could not meet Schuessler due to some injuries. After two and a half years in the big leagues reserve in the Bundesliga, where he had not made ​​the breakthrough to a use in the pros, he moved to the beginning of the season ( season 02/ 03) to the third division VfL Osnabrück. On 21 January 2010 Benjamin Schuessler moved to third division side Holstein Kiel and there wrote a contract until summer 2011. After only four missions in the 3rd league, he tore the cruciate ligament. The descent of the Kiel he could not avoid therefore.
