Berghaus

Berghaus is a manufacturer of clothing and equipment for outdoor activities based in the United Kingdom.

The company was founded in 1966 by Peter Lockey and Gordon Davison in Newcastle upon Tyne. First, imported and distributed them outdoor items before started in 1972 with the manufacture of its own products under the name of Berghaus. The German name Berghaus should make the company appear more credible, because at that time dominated outdoor items from Germany and Austria in the market.
