Berlingske Media

Berlingske Media ( June 2008 Det Berlingske Officinale ) is a Danish media company based in the center of Copenhagen. The biggest claims to be publishing group for the dissemination of news in Denmark belongs to a variety of newspapers, local radio stations and websites. About 1100 of the 2367 jobs are located in the Danish capital. The company's flagship is the oldest still published daily newspaper in Denmark, Berlingske the 1749, which is also counted among the three largest reputable newspapers in the country.

As the parent company for the daily newspaper Berlingske Tidende (now Berlingske ) was Det Berlingske Officin established in 1950. By 2000, a majority of the shares were in the hands of Danish corporations AP Møller- Mærsk, Carlsberg and Danske Bank, to the Norwegian media company Orkla Media (now Edda Media ) increased its shareholding to 87%. 2006 sold the Orkla Media their shares to the British media group Mecom Group. Chief Executive Officer since 2007, Lisbeth Knudsen, who is also chief editor at Berlingske. In 2008 the group was renamed to its present name. At the same time attracted 1,100 people in the renovated and newly renovated building in the Pilestræde one, the ancestral home of the newspaper Berlingske.
