Bernhard Afinger
Bernhard Afinger ( born May 6, 1813 in Nuremberg, † December 25, 1882 in Berlin) was a German sculptor of the 19th century.
Life
After training as a plumber and subsequent wanderings as a journeyman, he learned the occasion of the festival in 1840 Dürer Christian Daniel Rauch know who persuaded him to come as a student in Berlin. There he opened his own workshop in 1846. 1873 was followed by a trip to Italy. 1874 Member of the Senate of the Berlin Academy of Arts and professor.
