Bernie Shaw

Bernie Shaw ( born June 15, 1956) is a Canadian rock singer. He achieved fame primarily through his involvement with the British cult band Uriah Heep.

Career

First, Shaw wanted to be a guitarist in the early seventies. He applied for the band Cold Sweat (later Buckshot ) as second guitarist, but was recruited by the band as a singer. Later he played with a band called Legend and Phil Lanzon ( later with Uriah Heep ) in a band called Paris, with which they came to a recording contract with RCA in 1978. When Shaw 1981 home flew from his sister's wedding, he was in the band already by Robin McAuley replaced (among Far Corporation, McAuley Schenker Group ). In 1982 he spent a year at the Praying Mantis. Then the band Clive Burr 's Escape, a band of Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr followed. The band also changed its name to many a time. When the band under the name Stratus gave a concert in London, Shaw met Mick Box. So he ended up with Uriah Heep, with whom he is still active after 20 years.
