Bertone Genesis

The Lamborghini Genesis is a 1988 presented at the Turin Motor Show style study. The name comes from ancient Greek and means something like " development " or "development"

The design of Nuccio Bertone should be a harmonious combination of sports car and van. Particularly striking at Genesis is the oversized panoramic windscreen that opens, along with the front doors similar to butterfly doors. Profile Bertone tried to produce a wedge shape to have a dynamic affect the car. This he did by means of a horizontal, gently rising line that divided the side windows.

The engine in the Genesis is built into mid-engine position and is originally from the Lamborghini Countach Quattrovalvole. The chassis comes from the Lamborghini Espada. By this chassis only a wheelbase of 2.65 m was possible. The length of the Genesis is 4.68 m, height 1.52 m and the width exactly 2 m. From Genesis only one copy was built.
