Beth Howland

Elizabeth "Beth" Howland ( born May 28, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts ) is an American actress.

Life

Howland left at the age of 16 years, her parents' home and moved to New York City. She celebrated in 1959 in the musical Once Upon a Mattress their debut on Broadway and then played from 1960 to 1961 in the musical Bye Bye Birdie alongside Dick Van Dyke. In November 1961 she married actor Michael J. Pollard. Marriage, from which emerged a daughter, divorced in 1969. From 1970 to 1972 she played on Broadway in the original production of Stephen Sondheim's musical Company, after which they moved to California where a television career to pursue. From 1973, she had guest roles in various television series such as Cannon, Bronk and Little House.

Between 1976 and 1985 she starred in nine seasons with a total of 202 episodes, the role of Vera Louise Gorman in the sitcom snack with bite, through which they gained great notoriety in the United States and for which they nominated four times in a row for the Golden Globe Award been. After the end of the series, she played only individual roles, including guest appearances on Murder, She Wrote and Sabrina - totally bewitched.

Howland is married in second marriage to actor Charles Kimbrough.
