Bever (Oste)

The Bever is a right tributary of the River Oste in Lower Saxony, Germany. Its origin lies on the edge of the nature reserve francs Moor ( NSG LÜ 215), near the village of Franconia Moor (municipality Bargstedt ). From there it flows first in a south-westerly direction before she turns in a wide arc to the northwest and flows into the Bremervörde Oste.

Water
The Bever can with good water level of the road bridge Farven - be driven Steinberg / Byhusen to the mouth of the river Oste for a distance of 17.5 km with kayaks and canoes. In the period from March 1 to July 15 it is locked.
