Beverley Cross

Beverley Cross ( born April 13, 1931 in London, United Kingdom, † March 20, 1998 ) was a British librettist for operas and musicals as well as a screenwriter.

Biography

Although his first name sounds female, Beverley Cross was a man who had, on 20 March 1998, married between 23 August 1975 to his death with the famous actress Maggie Smith. He was also the stepfather of the two film actors Toby Stephens and Chris Larkin, who emerged from his first marriage with Smith Robert Stephens.

Cross died at the age of 67 years at a number of aneurysms.
