Biathlon European Championships 2013

The 20th Biathlon European Championships ( officially: IBU Open European Championships Biathlon 2013) were held from the 18th to February 26th 2013 in the Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko.

The contract was awarded by the International Biathlon Union in June 2010. The city already hosted the continental championships in 2007, the Summer Biathlon European Championships in 2008, several IBU Cups and other competitions.

During the competitions there were multiple problems because thick fog the view disabled and made a regular competition impossible. Then several races had to be postponed. Due to the tight schedule, the season of the men accounted for even completely, since for the same day the persecution of men was recognized.
