Andrejs Rastorgujevs
Andrejs Rastorgujevs (born 27 May 1988 in Alūksne ) is a Latvian biathlete.
Andrejs Rastorgujevs is a student and is trained by Intars Berkulis. He played in 2005 with a single in the Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti, which he finished as 68th in his first international race. Even a year later started the boot in Presque Isle, now available in all four races. In the sprint, he was ranked 29, improved in the pursuer to number 21 and finished with tenth place in a single top- ten finish. With the Season Rastorgujevs and also achieved sixth place. In the summer he launched successfully in the junior competitions of the Summer Biathlon World Championships in 2006 in Ufa In the Cross Country competitions he was 21 in the sprint and 17th of persecution on roller skis, he finished sixth in the sprint and improved in the pursuit to on the gold rank. In the summer he joined again in the junior competitions of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Otepaeae and missed in fourth place in the sprint a medal and finished sixth in the subsequent pursuit race. For the fourth time in Ruhpolding Rastorgujevs took part in the Junior World Championships, without achieving significant results, however. The European Junior Championships in Nove Mesto na Moravě brought the best results as a seventh place in the relay and 28 in singles. His fifth and final World Junior Championships he competed in Canmore. In individual he missed almost the eleventh top ten, in the sprint he finished 20th and 17th of persecution. At the Junior Championship in Ufa, he finished eighth in the sprint.
Since 2008 Rastorgujevs starts in the power range. He played his first race with the seniors as part of the IBU Cups. First race was a sprint in Obertilliach, in which he was 32 . Best Result in this series so far, a ninth place he occupied in a sprint in Idre 2009. To kick off the 2009/10 season debuted the boot in Östersund Biathlon World Cup and was 17th in the relay after he was previously disqualified in the Sprint race. Actually, he placed 47th with unexpectedly good, but he was later disqualified for using a false path. He scored his best results in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Rastorgujevs reached the sprint a 50th place, but also benefited from the improving weather conditions in an almost irregular race. In his only previous pursuit race he dropped back to 58th place. There were also the best results in the World Cup of Latvians. With Edgars Piksons, Ilmārs Bricis and Kristaps Lībietis he was also in the relay race 19 and thus last. Later in the year he started in Duszniki Zdroj at the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2010., Where the Latvian made his international breakthrough, he won both the sprint and in the pursuit of the bronze medals. In Otepaeae he took the end of the season part in the Biathlon European Championships in 2010 and reached the 15 rankings in singles and 49 in the sprint. 2011 won Rastorgujevs in Oberhof as 40 a sprint his first World Cup point. In the 2012/2013 World Cup season Andrejs Rastorgujevs could reach 10th place and came for the first time in the Top Ten in the World Cup runner-up in the Pokljuka. In Sochi, he missed the rest of the season with his hitherto by far the most successful season in fourth place a Single Page only just his first podium finish. The following season he was able to repeat his best finish in Oberhof, after thanks to flawless shooting performance, he ran from 28th to fourth place before in a pursuit race.
