Bibiyergou

Bibiyergou (also: Bibiyargou ) is a rural municipality in the Department Tilabéri in Niger.

Geography

Bibiyergou located in the Sahel region north-west of the regional capital Tilabéri. The neighboring municipalities are Anzourou and Dessa in the north, the south and Sakoïra Sinder in the West. The municipality is in the administrative villages Bibiyargou (also Bibiyergou ) and Innamaraz as well as the hamlets of Garo Koira (also Garokoira ) and Arsilamey (also Arssilamey ) divided. The main town of the country church is the administrative village Bibiyargou.

History

1899 reached the area of Bibiyergou as part of the newly created circle Sinder under French military administration. 1905, the site became part of the new military territory of Niger. As an administrative unit, the rural community Bibiyergou 2002 was developed at a nationwide administrative reform. Here, the Canton Tilabéri / Sakoïra was dissolved and divided its territory to the communities Bibiyergou, Sakoïra and Tilabéri. The original proposal of living in the area Tuareg group Rhattafan was to make the administrative village Tondia the rural community Dessa to the main town of Rhattafan own community. However, this was rejected by the competent ministerial Commission. Tondia remained with Dessa and the Rhattafan received instead Bibiyergou as they dominated new rural community.

Population

At the 2001 census Bibiyergou had 2187 inhabitants. For the year 2010 2895 population were calculated.

Economy and infrastructure

The municipality is situated on the northern edge of a zone is operated in the rain-fed agriculture.
