Big Pun
Big Punisher, even Big Pun, ( born November 9, 1971 in the Bronx, New York, † February 7, 2000 in White Plains, New York as Christopher Lee Rios ) was an American rapper Puerto Rican descent.
Life
With 15 years Rios moved from home in order to devote himself exclusively to hip-hop. However, he initially earned the money for his three children only as a casual boxer ( Punisher ) and crack dealers. The mid-1990s he made the breakthrough in the rap scene, entitled Off the Books, which he recorded together with the Beatnuts and Cuban Link.
With the hits Still not a player, and he also managed the 100 Percent global breakthrough. Furthermore, he was the first Latino rapper who was able to reach platinum status with his recorded music publication in the United States.
He died on 7 February 2000 at New York's White Plains Hospital to the consequences of his massive preponderance of a heart attack. He left behind his wife and three children. Until his death, he released three albums and rapped with many other musicians such as Mack 10, Jennifer Lopez, Cuban Link, Noreaga, Fat Joe and his partner of Terror Squad.
