The film was written by Adam Sandler and Tim Herlihy and produced by Universal Pictures.

Action

Billy is the 27 -year-old son of a hotel tycoon, who wasted most of his life with parties. When his father ( McGavin ) announces his retirement, he handed over the leadership to his incumbent Vice President ( Whitford ). Billy is disappointed and wants to know why he did not get the company. His father tells Billy that he had Billy's teacher bribed so he creates the school. Then betting Billy, he would be smart enough to take over management of the company. When he goes back to school and the curriculum dominated by the first through twelfth grade within only 24 weeks, he gets the company management about the hotels Madison. In a final duel Billy Whitford and face. In an academic decathlon the leadership is decided about the company. Billy goes out as a winner, the company management but gives off to another employee of his father, because he wants to become a teacher.

Production

The film was shot mostly in Oshawa, 60 kilometers east of Toronto. The Parkwood estate was used as Billy Madison Villa.
