Billy Vera

Billy Vera ( born May 28, 1944 in Riverside, California; actually William McCord ) is an American singer, actor, writer and music historian.

In early 1979 Billy Vera founded in Los Angeles together with bassist Chuck Fiore, the band Billy and the Beaters. In 1981, she published the song I Can Take Care of Myself and At This Moment and had it and with the debut album Billy & the Beaters also a modest chart success. At the end of 1985 This Moment was used as background music a romantic scene in the TV series Family Ties and received renewed attention. A best-of album by Billy Vera & the Beaters sold in the following year, over one million copies, and a new single release became a number - one hit in the United States.

Billy Vera sings the theme song of the series The King of Queens ( "Baby All My Life ").
