The Čierna hora (literally " Black Mountain " ) is a small mountain range in eastern Slovakia, part of the Slovak Ore Mountains. The mountain is located approximately between the city Košice to the southeast and the communities Krompachy in the northwest and Kysak in the Northeast and is about 250 km ². The highest mountain is the Rohacka ( 1029 m nm) between Margecany and Kluknava.

The field of Čierna hora is drained by the river Hornád. Within the mountain range is the built in the 1960s a dam Ružín, the main function of water supply, but also the rest.

In the lower altitudes mostly grow houses, in the higher contrast occur spruce and mixed forest.

The mountain itself is sparsely populated. Through the mountain part of the main railway from Košice runs to Zilina with larger railway junction in Margecany and Kysak.
