Description

The Durchwachsenblättrige Bitterling is an annual plant that reaches the plant height of 10 to 60 cm. The upright, hairless plant growing simple or branched in the inflorescence. The blunt, ovoid leaves form a rosette. The stem leaves are opposite arranged and grow together. You are eiförmigdreieckig and sharp or pointed. The upper stem leaves are scarcely narrowed at the base.

The yellow crown is 8-15 mm long and has a short tube with 6-8 spreading lobes. The calyx is deeply divided into rulers, einnervige sections. Bloom time is from May to September.

Occurrence

The Durchwachsenblättrige Bitterling is common in Western, Central Europe, the Mediterranean region and Southwest Asia. As the site preferably, the heat-loving kind gappy semi-dry grasslands, forests, maquis and roadsides.
