Blakely Mattern

Elizabeth Blakely Mattern ( born September 17, 1988 in Simpsonville, South Carolina) is an American football player who has stood the 2013 season at Mallbackens IF under contract.

Career

Mattern began her career in 2009 at the Charlotte Lady Eagles in the W- League. In early 2010 she was engaged at position 21 of the Atlanta Beat during WPS Draft in the third round, but was not there to use and therefore returned the same year to the Lady Eagles.

In the 2011/12 season Mattern played for the Eredivisie contenders FC Twente. Due to an injury, she left Twente at the end of the season and decided to perform the necessary surgery and rehabilitation in their home. Then she ran for the Carolina Elite Cobras in the W-League in 2013. On July 23, 2013, the Damallsvenskan participants Mallbackens IF announced the commitment of the two U.S. women Jessica Shufelt and Mattern.
