Blanche Yurka
Blanche Yurka (actually Blanche Jurka, born June 18, 1887 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, † June 6, 1974 in New York City ) was an American opera singer, theater and film actress.
Life
Blanche Yurka was a famous opera singer before she made her debut in 1910 as a stage actress on Broadway. In the 1920s, she appeared in films and occasionally worked as a director. In the years 1922-1926 Yurka had been married to actor Ian Keith, the marriage remained childless. In 1974 she died of the consequences of atherosclerosis.
