Bloodbath

Bloodbath (English for, bloodbath ') is a death metal supergroup from Stockholm, Sweden.

Band History

Bloodbath was founded by Mikael Åkerfeldt ( Opeth ), Dan Swanö (including Edge of Sanity, Nightingale, Infestdead ), Anders Nyström and Jonas Renkse (both Katatonia ). Since the founding members were particularly active in other bands, Bloodbath concerts were made ​​possible by changes in the cast.

After the release of their first studio album Resurrection Through Carnage Åkerfeldt singer left the band, he was replaced by Peter Tägtgren ( Hypocrisy ) 2004. Furthermore, the drums with Martin Axenrot ( Opeth, Witchery, Satanic Slaughter ) was newly appointed as Dan Swanö moved to the guitar. After the second studio album Nightmares Made Flesh was recorded, left Tägtgren, the band immediately again. In a live performance in 2005 Åkerfeldt jumped once as a singer. 2006 also left Swanö the band.

Bloodbath remained permanently without a singer until Åkerfeldt rejoined in 2008.
