BOARD International

BOARD ( American English Pronunciation [ bɔ ɹd ː ] ) is a software for business intelligence ( BI), Corporate Performance Management ( CPM) and Analytics. It is developed since its introduction in 1994 by the Swiss manufacturer BOARD International.

The software tracks as a " toolkit approach " marketed principle and is therefore often referred to as " BOARD toolkit " means. This approach is characterized by the fact that end users and power users or administrators use the same graphical user interface. Thus done of construction, expansion and administration of BI-/CPM-/Analytics-Anwendungen in the same software and do not require programming.

Areas of application

The BOARD toolkit is able to map large number of disparate applications. In addition to typical business intelligence applications such as OLAP and reporting including CPM sub-areas such as what-if analyzes, simulations, demand planning, budgeting, balanced scorecards and financial planning.

The special feature of the software is to combine this spectrum together in one seamless solution. A process described in a case study customer project included, for example, inter alia, the areas of integrated balance sheet planning, financial planning, project planning, human extrapolation, management reporting, tumbling forecasting, cost center reporting, human resources dashboards, and an overtime analysis and worldwide job approval process. This property is assessed by the IT market research service provider, Gartner Inc. as BOARD primary selling point.

Dissemination

BOARD is used by approximately 2,500 companies and organizations worldwide. The circle of users not focused on a particular industry or size and in addition medium-sized enterprises ( MairDumont, Riedel Communications ) and large enterprises includes ( KUKA robots, Fissler, Gigaset, Nike, Puma, Robinson Club, Westfalen AG) and public administration institutions (Pinneberg, Potsdam, city of Hildesheim ) and the military (U.S. Navy ) and educational institutions (ZHdK ).
